  After receiving a quote on a new boat lift from a competing company which left me in complete shock over the price, I wasted countless hours looking at used lifts. I then found their add on Craigslist, and though skeptical when I saw the low price, I called. Tim, the owner, was very helpful on the telephone and has models on display in Rhinelander. I stopped by was very impressed with the quality of the lifts. I purchased the lift and it was installed less than a week later... on the wrong side of my pier! (read on, this is where they step up and earn the review).
  
  We've all had experiences with companies where something didn't go quite right, and more often than not what should be a simple matter becomes a nightmare. Not with Lifts and Docks! Tim replied to my message immediately, apologized and had it fixed by the next day.
  
  This company not only offers an excellent product at a price far less than the competitor, they also offer excellent and personalized service. After purchasing our boat lift I immediately followed up with the purchase of a jet-ski lift, which was installed professionally roughly a week after I ordered.
  
  The lift installed by Lifts and Docks deserves a 5 star rating. The service deserves a written review on top of the 5 star rating.
  
  On a side note, we love having a lift. We went from rarely using our boat, to using it continuously while we're at our vacation home. Not inexpensive, but a good investment that I'm sure will last for decades.
